Buy what you need, when you need small square bales
Growing quality alfalfa and grass hay is difficult. Buying quality hay for your horses or livestock is even more difficult. We try to make it easier for you.
Anybody can cut a field or pasture and bale it. But what is in the hay you are buying?
- When was the hay cut (as in flower/seed stage)?
- What was the moisture content when baled?
- What’s the crude protein?
- What kind of weeds are in the hay?
- What’s the ash content?
- Why isn’t the hay green?
- How was it stored?
- How old is it?
We will answer all of these questions for you. We walk, fly drones and survey our fields constantly to keep fox-tail and other noxious weeds out of the fields. And if there is something in the hay, we’ll tell you. We moisture test every single bale and batch test for crude protein so that you know what you’re getting. If you have special needs, ask us if we can accommodate.
